BLIND MODE
Art Direction
In a groundbreaking collaboration between the hit reality TV show "Love Is Blind" and the popular dating app Hinge, I spearheaded a revolutionary project that brings the thrill of blind dating to the digital realm. As a graphic designer and art director, I crafted the visual identity for "Blind Mode," an innovative feature that allows Hinge users to experience the essence of falling in love sight unseen, just like the show's contestants. This unique mode encourages users to form connections based on personality and shared interests, temporarily setting aside the influence of physical appearance.
The "Blind Mode" feature, designed to emulate the show's captivating premise, hides profile pictures for 24 hours, allowing users to focus solely on witty prompts and engaging conversations. After this period, the anticipation builds as users unlock their matches' images, potentially discovering their perfect match. This project not only showcases my ability to translate a complex concept into a visually appealing and user-friendly interface but also demonstrates Hinge's commitment to fostering meaningful connections in the digital age, truly embodying their ethos as the dating app "designed to be deleted."
